Hand-stiched cyanotype original by the talented Katharine T Jacobs, created by contact printing 4x5 negatives on linen. This original work features Jacobs' emotive portraiture.

Mounted with archival acid-free adhesive and ready to hang. Sawtooth hardware makes this beautiful original work of art easy to hang with 1 nail, and no need to frame.

"I started working with cyanotypes after my Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis in 2018. These large format photographs were made in response to my first symptoms, my diagnosis, and the dissolution of my marriage. These portraits are about love and loss, physical and emotional pain, coping with living with a chronic illness and craving intimacy after years of abuse. Sitting with these cyanotypes on linen and stitching on them for long periods of time has given them new life."

In 1902 the building we now call Jailbreak was erected as the first southeast Police Department, built on land that belongs to the Chinook, Cowlitz, and Clackamas tribes. Honoring the land we live on and the accuracy of history matters, acknowledgment matters, showing respect is required. 🌎 If you are interested in learning more about the tribes and land you have built your life on, and you would like to honor the people who came before you, the Native Land app is free, and owned and operated by the Indigenous non profit Native Land Digital.
