Fringe Benefits Tiered Seed Bead Earrings by Neighbor Jewelry

    INSTA: @neighbor.jewelry

Shaina started making and selling seed bead jewelry to raise funds so her aunt could open a new sari-sari (variety) store in the Philippines.  The satisfaction of seeing others adorned with her earrings motivated Shaina to join her aunt in the world of female entrepreneurship, and Neighbor Jewelry was born.

Neighbor Jewelry is made with Japanese round seed beads, which gives them a softer, more natural feel. Shaina loves combining different bead finishes (matte to metallic/ glossy) for a more striking contrast and making unexpected color choices.

In 1902 the building we now call Jailbreak was erected as the first southeast Police Department, built on land that belongs to the Chinook, Cowlitz, and Clackamas tribes. Honoring the land we live on and the accuracy of history matters, acknowledgment matters, showing respect is required. 🌎 If you are interested in learning more about the tribes and land you have built your life on, and you would like to honor the people who came before you, the Native Land app is free, and owned and operated by the Indigenous non profit Native Land Digital.
